Apologia provides fun and challenging K-12 creation-based science curriculum specifically designed for the home school. Written by a former university professor and homeschool parent, our courses provide college-preparatory science in a way that is both clear and challenging. Our texts are readable, easy to understand, and full of engaging experiments that can be performed at home.

Around the World in 180 Days 2nd Edition

The first non-science course published by Apologia, Around the World in 180 Days is a geography and history program covering each continent's history, geography, and culture. And yet this is not a textbook. It is a series of questions that the student must research in order to answer. Plenty of resources (available in most public libraries) are suggested to help students conduct their research, and the teacher's edition provides all the answers.

"Jump In" overcomes the reluctant writer's fear of writing by using the following:

  1. A friendly, approachable style that makes the text easy to read

  2. A font that is easy on the eye and leaves a lot of white space on the page

  3. Short, workable exercises each day

  4. Incremental daily lessons that are easy to understand

  5. Non-threatening word counts for longer assignments

Students will learn how to write opinions, persuasive papers, many types of expository papers, descriptions, narration, and poetry. Though the text is accessible, it is not dumbed down, but rather is crammed full of useful information.

The instructor/parent section includes what to look for in an assignment, how to give a grade, how to help the student proofread, and a one-year writing program called "10-Minute Writing Plunges." These are daily writing prompts designed for fun and interest.

Who Is God?

Who is God and Can I Really Know Him?, introduces the concept of worldview while laying the foundational truths upon which the evangelical Christian worldview is built: God is truth and He reveals His truth to people; He is the one true and almighty God; He is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; He created everything; we are God’s children and are made to love and to praise Him; God meets all our needs; sin keeps us from God; and Jesus is the only way to God.

Who Am I?

The second book in the What We Believe series, Who Am I? (And What Am I Doing Here?) helps children understand what it means to be fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of the Most High God. This study will enable students to develop a healthy self-image based on these biblical truths: God made me in His image and crowned me with glory; He has given me special gifts and a unique purpose in life; I can creatively express God's love; I am meant to think about beautiful and praiseworthy things, especially God and His Word; I must make decisions based on God's truth; I can always know the wise thing to do; I must cultivate the fruit of the Spirit in my life; I am a beloved child of God whose true identity is found in Christ.

Who is My Neighbor?

he third book in the award-winning What We Believe series helps children understand what it means to be salt and light to the world (Matthew 5:13-14). This study will encourage kids to develop a Christlike servant attitude based on these biblical truths: God created me to be a blessing to the world; God chooses to work through me; I can make a difference at home, in my community, and at church; the church is God's family; the church is one body with many gifts; and I am an important member of Jesus' body.
